Except as permitted by this Rule and the Ohio
Rules of Civil Procedure, originals or copies of any discovery requests or
answers to discovery requests shall not be filed with the Clerk of Courts.
Certificates of Notice of service of requests for discovery or answers
shall be filed as required by Rules of Civil Procedure. The Clerk of
Courts shall not accept for filing any document prohibited by this Rule.
The Clerk shall accept for filing the originals of interrogatories only
when filed for service with the original complaint. When original
interrogatories are filed with the Complaint, the Clerk shall serve the
original of the interrogatories on the defendant or defendants.

The Clerk shall accept for filing copies of
any discovery documents where the documents are filed in support of a
motion, including a motion objecting to the discovery or
answers to the discovery, or seeking to compel discovery or for use at
trial or hearing.

The purpose of this Rule to limit the amount
of documents filed in an action in order to conserve space and to have
filed with the Court, only those documents necessary for
decisions.
